Our Story

Monty Chapters was created from a passion for quality, handcrafted goods and a love for the classic, functional style of the traveler’s notebook. Seeing a gap in the market for beautifully made, locally crafted pieces, I set out to build a brand that celebrates creativity, adventure, and craftsmanship.

Starting in my workshop on the southern Gold Coast I hope each travelers notebook clocks up the kilometres as a well used everyday accessory, carried along on all your new adventures.

So where did the name come from? It all started with the very first cover I made. Before adding any notebooks, it looked naked, almost like it was doing the full monty. Inspired by the iconic ’90s box office hit, the name Monty Chapters came to be. Today, our minimal A5 trifold design without any extras is affectionately known as “The Monty.”
