Leather Care

All the Monty covers are made from full grain vegetable tanned leather.
Since this leather is a pure aniline, even on the 1° grade there could be several imperfections or natural signs which are characteristic of this very natural item, these are not considered defects but an added value.

The nature of vegetable tanned leather is to develop a patina. This means with use and age its expected that the leather will develop a soft sheen and a deepening or darkening in colour.

To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend handling it with care as it will scratch and mark easily, and avoid prolonged exposure to water or direct heat.

A leather balm or conditioner can be used on the cover, although different products can either slow or accelerate the patina effect.
